A fishing journal, not a feed.

Log the day in as much detail as you feel like. QuillWater fills in the weather, the water, the moon and the tide from where you were, and keeps the whole journal on your own phone.

Five years from now it will still know which bend of the river it was, what the pressure was doing, and what finally worked.

The fishing journal

QuillWaterField Journal

In development

Log a day on the water in as much or as little detail as you want. QuillWater pulls the weather, tide and moon for where you were, keeps your entries on your own device, and has no account to sign into.

Entries, not posts

Water type, method, conditions, water temperature and clarity, depth, structure. Fill in what matters to you and skip the rest.

Conditions, pulled for you

Weather, tide stage and moon phase are looked up from where and when you fished. All of it stays editable.

Catches and gear

Species, length, weight and a photo per catch. Rods, reels, lines and flies saved as setups you can reuse.

Trips and maps

Group entries into a trip with a cover photo. See every logged spot on a map and tap a pin to read the day back.

Yours to keep

Export any entry as a PDF, or back the whole journal up to a single file you control. Your journal isn't uploaded anywhere.

No social anything

No followers, no leaderboard, no algorithm. Sharing an entry means sending it to someone, on purpose.

QuillWater is being prepared for the App Store and Google Play. Download links will appear here when it ships — get in touch if you'd like to hear when that happens.

Why

There's usually a journal in the box

I help collect donated gear for a couple of outdoor groups. Most of the time there's a journal in with the rods and the fly boxes, and it's the only thing in there that can't be replaced. That's where this came from.
